From Fire to Focus: A Gentle Recalibration in Direction

I recently attended the Fire to Focus online workshop with Alanna Green, and I wanted to share a few reflections because the experience genuinely helped me clarify some things I had been feeling but hadn’t fully put into words yet.

What stood out most for me was the difference between what drives me and what fuels me. I’ve always known I’m motivated, expansive, and full of ideas, but this session helped me slow down enough to ask a different question, what actually energizes me in a sustainable way instead of just pushing forward out of momentum.

Over the last year I’ve done a lot of inner work, and I’ve been noticing a shift toward allowing my authentic self to show more outwardly. There was a realization that I sometimes hold back my light, not because I don’t believe in it, but because shining too brightly can feel like it might attract overwhelm or pressure. This workshop gently reframed that for me. It reminded me that expression doesn’t have to be forceful or exhausting. It can be intentional, contained, and still powerful.

Another insight that resonated deeply was around connection.

Real, genuine connection gives me energy. Surface-level interactions drain me, but authentic conversations and shared exploration light me up. Holistic work, personal growth, and creating spaces where people can discover themselves alongside others is where I feel most aligned. It helped me recognize that I don’t need to do everything - I simply need to keep doing the things that feel honest and naturally connective.

There was also clarity around direction. I realized one of my strongest intentions right now is continuing to support practitioners and community builders while finding better balance in the areas that drain me, particularly administrative tasks. The work that excites me is bringing people together, creating environments where authenticity is welcomed, and helping others find their own light. The session reinforced that small aligned steps truly do add up. It doesn’t have to be massive effort all at once. Consistency and intention are enough.

Alanna’s presence throughout the workshop was uplifting and impactful. Her presentation had a natural flow and a grounded sense of alignment that made the space feel both welcoming and focused. It didn’t feel rushed or overly scripted - it felt real, which allowed the message to land more clearly.

Beyond the workshop itself, it’s inspiring to see the movement she is cultivating in Charlottetown, PEI through Spiritually Amplified. There’s a shared vision of bringing people together, supporting spiritual entrepreneurs, and creating community-rooted spaces where individuals can grow and connect. Seeing parallel dreams emerging in different regions reminds me that this isn’t about competition or isolation - it’s about collaboration and collective momentum. We are all building bridges in our own ways, and those bridges eventually meet.

One phrase that stayed with me afterward was the idea of seeking simplicity.

Not shrinking, not dimming, but simplifying the direction so energy can move with clarity instead of scattering in every direction at once.

Overall, the experience felt like a gentle recalibration rather than a dramatic shift. A reminder that showing up, participating, and taking intentional action is enough. Each small step carries weight. Each authentic expression matters. And the work of connecting people, truly connecting, is something worth continuing.

Grateful for the space, the insights, and the reminder that alignment doesn’t require force. It simply requires honesty and steady intention.
